How much will my room cost?

The rooms will start at approximately $165.00 per night plus tax based on double occupancy. Remember that rates vary depending on the time of year and availability for the dates you select. The more flexibility you have, the better deals your agent will be able to find for you.

What does "maximum retail value" mean?

Your airfares are subject to a maximum retail value of $400.00 USD per ticket. If the actual airfare exceeds the maximum retail value, you will be required to pay the difference. You are required to pay all taxes, fees and surcharges on the full value of each airline ticket. Taxes and fees can run in excess of $79.00 USD per person.

What if I decide to stay longer than I originally purchased; Will that be OK?

Changes are not allowed on these special fares. Once ticketed, you must travel on the itinerary that was confirmed for you.

Do I need a passport to travel to Mexico?

It is recommended that you have a passport whenever you travel to a foreign country. U.S. Citizens are permitted to travel to Mexico with a government issued photo ID (such as a driver's license) and a birth certificate. Non U.S. citizens should check with their embassy for travel requirements as they may vary greatly. For travel overseas and to facilitate reentry into the U.S., a valid U.S. passport is the best documentation available and unquestionably proves your U.S. citizenship.

I don't have a birth certificate. Where do I get one?

You should contact your birth-state office of Vital Statistics/Records for assistance. http://www.edc.gov/nchs/howto/w2/w2welcom.asp is a helpful website with contact information.

Where can I get a passport or travel visa?

You may want to visit the website www.state.gov. This site provides information on how to obtain either of these documents. If you do not have access to the Internet, check with your local United States Post Office for the location near you that has a Passport Office.

My minor children are going too. Do they need a passport?

All travelers will be required to provide a passport or certified birth certificate.

I plan to take my Mother and two children. Do I need anything else?

If minor children travel without both parents or legal guardians, you must present a notarized statement from the absent parent or guardian to prove you have the non-traveling parent's permission.

You will be required to provide a certified copy of the death certificate.

How soon after we register will our travel plans be confirmed?

Receipt of your request will be acknowledged within 14 days and you will be confirmed as soon as possible.

How soon after I am confirmed do I have to pay for my trip?

Payment is usually due within 24 hours of confirmation of your reservation. Your agent will go over all the details once you are confirmed.

What type of currency is used in Mexico?

The currency in Mexico is the Mexican Peso. Exchange rates fluctuate, so you may want to check several places before exchanging currency. American currency is widely accepted, but it is suggested that you buy some pesos to make shopping at the Mercado (market place) and tipping easier.

Do they accept credit cards?

Most major credit cards are accepted and there are ATMs in Mexico.

What language do they speak in Mexico?

While the native language is Spanish, English is also widely understood, especially in the airports and most resorts/hotels.

I know the water is bad in Mexico. What should I do?

Most hotels have purified water. However, bottled water is recommended for drinking. Tap water is not recommended.

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer payment plans. Our inventory is capacity controlled. In order for us to maintain these exceptionally low fares, we must pay for the seats when confirmed.

Regrettably, once confirmed, we are unable to change the tickets or refund your money. Please plan ahead before finalizing your purchase.

The letter you received was an acknowledgment letter to let you know we received your request. You will not receive a confirmation letter until your travel agent finalizes your reservation and you have paid in full.

What's the weather like in Acapulco?

Acapulco is hot and sunny all year round. Temperatures fluctuate between 80o F to 92o F. July and August are the hottest months. The rainy season is typically from June to October, but the showers tend to occur at night and are brief.

What kind of clothes should I pack?

Shorts, bathing suits, T-shirts, sandals, etc. are fine during the day. In the evening dressy casual is more appropriate. Some nightspots may have a dress code that excludes jeans, shorts, T-shirts and athletic shoes. Check with your hotel desk for advice before you go out.

If I plan on taking my children with me, will there be a charge for them to stay in the room with me?

Most properties will allow your children to stay in the same room, as long as they use the existing bedding, and are under the age of 18. However there are exceptions to every rule, and it will be based on the various properties rules.

If I register after the 60 days, will I still be able to travel?

We must travel the people that have complied with the registration deadlines first, but we will always try to fulfill your travel requests. Just remember that everything is based on space availability, so it is a good idea to register early. Remember! Registering your Holiday Passports Platinum does not obligate you to travel.

Can I fly out of my local airport?

This Bonus Travel Card was designed for departures from major gateways. The retail value of the Bonus Travel offer is $400.00 per person. If you were to fly out of a smaller airport the airfare would more than likely exceed this amount and you would be responsible for the difference.

Can I stay longer than the 7 nights?

Yes. Just let your agent know that you wish to purchase extra nights and they will be more than happy to assist you with your request.
